Chanel Jardin de Chanel Blush Camelia Rose

Thanks to their amazing colors, texture and pigmentation, Chanel blushes have always remained my number one favorites throughout the years, however, when the brand comes up with a limited edition creation, it always comes as a special surprise and then I try my best to get hold of it and add it to my collection while it is still available. This Spring 2015 season, Chanel introduced a beautiful limited edition blush, the Chanel Jardin de Chanel Blush Camelia Rose (0.10 oz.).

Described by the brand as a “duo of pinks”, the colors are light and medium shades of slightly dusty pink. The subtle neutral pinks have a very warm undertones and a sheer-to-matte finish. The texture is very fine with a satin feel, but does have some pearlescent shimmer in it. It blends in well and looks very natural on the skin, giving it a nice and warm glow. The blush has a very good pigmentation and is easily buildable for a more dramatic look.

I did not use a lot of it and applied it using my Hakuhodo S103 Powder Blush Brush that hasnatural bristles allowing you more control over the intensity of pigmentation that you are trying to achieve. The subtle color looked very flattering on my warm-tone medium complexion skin. The color appeared very even on my skin and the tiny shimmer particles were not visible at all. The color lasted throughout the day without having to reapply it, which is a good plus. I love the floral pattern of this blush, the feature that makes it a special limited edition item. However, I’d be happy to see a much larger pan, since it presented a little challenge trying to swirl a large blush brush in this small pan.
