What is the taste of your holiday season? Mine tastes like rich and delicious Hot Chocolate from Williams Sonoma. I buy it every season, in the Williams Sonoma Outlet, at that pre-holiday shopping time, right in between the Thanksgiving and Christmas sales, when its price drops to 50% off. It is also a good time to stock up on your favorite Williams Sonoma Marshmallows. My favorite flavor is Vanilla, though Chocolate Marshmallows are equally delicious, if you prefer those. Each over-sized square marshmallow is individually wrapped in a plastic pouch, which makes the product last for a long time once the box has been opened.
To make hot chocolate, all you need is to warm up milk (in a regular pan or in a Breville hot chocolate maker, I tried both with equal success) to a hot, but not boiling temperature. Gradually add the Hot Chocolate shavings to your milk by constantly stirring it until all chocolate is evenly dissolved in it. You can add as much Hot Chocolate as you desire, to your taste. Pour the Hot Chocolate into your favorite mug (mine is a Chocolate mug from Life is Good) and add the final touch, the big vanilla marshmallow! Enjoy!
