A big fan of Lorna Jane athletic apparel, and especially her new Uniquely Lorna Jane line, I have recently discovered a non-athletic apparel item by Lorna Jane, (as impressive and unique as Lorna Jane herself) – a book by Lorna Jane, called “More of the Fit Woman’s Secrets”. I need to say that this book has become my bedtime companion, and I almost never fall asleep without reading a page from this book. The book is very insightful, contains inspirational and motivational advice, which has been crystallized through the prism of Lorna Jane’s personal experience and, what fascinates me most, has been worded in simple, yet very powerful words.
I think, the book was written after the success of her first book, “Move, Nourish, Believe: The Fit Woman’s Secret Revealed“, Lorna Jane Clarkson was inundated with people who were very much interested in the continuation of her story, in learning MORE about how she manages to achieve everything she squeezes into – and out of – life, as well as staying fit and healthy. And her answer, in essence, is Active Living. Unfortunately, the first book is no longer available to purchase at Lorna Jane website, because I would be so much interested to read the beginning of her story.
The second book, “More of the Fit Woman’s Secrets”, reads like a sincere and authentic account of a good friend, a person who speak from her heart and shares with you what she has learned in this life, who wants to give you insights into her daily activities. It resembles a personal journal where Lorna recorded and shares with a reader her life, her thoughts, and her stories. The carefully selected images enhance the feeling that you are going through a very personal account of someone’s experiences, including a complex task of running her multi-million dollar athletic apparel business, and what inspires and motivates her to eat well and exercise on a daily basis.
I also love that Lorna Jane shares her recipes of the foods she loves, but most importantly, her advice on how to be happy and the path she follows daily towards achieving this goal. How many times I felt hopeless, not willing to do anything, or go on… Reading Lorna Jane’s book helps me to feel solid ground under my feet. By learning what keeps her moving, what things are part of her daily rituals, or the things she never does, or does from time to time, I realized that the best way to feel happy, confident and self-accomplished is to lead Active Life, eat the right food and believe in yourself.
